Do we need a referral?

You do not need a referral to be seen by Shine Therapy Services. Please contact us directly for an appointment.

We do accept referrals from other professionals such as GP’s, consultants, teachers, health visitors, children’s centre staff, social workers and youth justice staff.

Do you have a waiting list?

We aim to see clients as soon as possible after our services have been commissioned. There may occasionally be a waiting list but we work hard to keep this to a minimum.

Can we receive private therapy as well as input from the NHS?

Yes. We recognise that we do not work in isolation and we strive to foster good communication with these colleagues and to work with them in the best interests of the individual.

Where will we be seen?

This will depend on the circumstances. We are able to visit home, education and healthcare environments or any other appropriate setting that you may suggest.

What are your fees?

This will depend on the circumstances. Please contact us for further information.

Please note: If you intended on using private medical insurance to cover fees, most companies will require a referral from your GP in order for you to reclaim them. Please contact your insurance provider.

Are your therapists fully qualified?

We only employ fully qualified and suitably experienced therapists. All therapists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and their respective professional bodies. They are also subject to the enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) checks.
