Lisa Hamer – Specialist Occupational Therapist and Company Director

​Lisa qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2002 and worked in the NHS until 2008 when she established Shine Therapy Services. In 2010 she completed training to become an accredited Advanced Practitioner in Sensory Integration, Advanced Practitioner in Therapeutic Listening and Advanced Practitioner in the Assessment and Treatment of Sensory Defensiveness and implementation of the Wilbarger Therapressure Brushing Protocol. In 2014 she completed training to become an Advanced Practitioner in the SOS Feeding Approach.

She primarily works in specialist residential schools and with charities, families and NHS trusts providing individual assessments and intervention strategies. She also runs training courses and can act as Expert Witness.

Gemma Bentley – Occupational Therapist

Gemma qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2006. She has completed training in Sensory Integration and the ALERT programme. She is also a qualified Parenting Practitioner and has previously worked within an NHS child and adolescent mental health service.

She primarily works within mainstream schools where she is responsible for assessments and delivering intervention strategies on a 1:1 basis and in groups.

Catherine Bird – Speech and Language Therapist

Catherine has been with us since qualifying as a Speech and Language Therapist in 2010. She works in mainstream schools to provide assessment and therapy to children and young people with a range of speech, language and communication difficulties. As part of her continuing professional development she has completed training in the Alex Kelly programme 'Assessing and Teaching Social Skills'.

Catherine has previously worked in a mainstream primary school as a teaching assistant and also as a speech and language assistant for Manchester University as part of a research project with children on the autistic spectrum.

Michelle Walker – Speech and Language Therapist

Michelle has been with us since qualifying as a Speech and Language Therapist in 2010. She works in mainstream schools to provide assessment and therapy to children and young people with a range of speech, language and communication difficulties. She is also an accredited ELKLAN trainer.

 

Anna Hardman – Speech and Language Therapist

​Anna has been with us since qualifying as a Speech and Language Therapist in 2013. She works in mainstream schools to provide assessment and therapy to children and young people with a range of speech, language and communication difficulties.

​Rachael qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in 2013. She works in mainstream schools to provide assessment and therapy to children and young people with a range of speech, language and communication difficulties. Previously she worked in a mainstream primary school as a teaching assistant providing speech and language support.

Kate Morgan – Speech and Language Therapist

 

 

 

Jade Hassall  

Kate qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in 2014. She works in mainstream schools to provide assessment and therapy to children and young people with a range of speech, language and communication difficulties. Previously she volunteered at a Sure Start Children's Centre working alongside an NHS Speech and Language Therapist.

 

Each therapist is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and their respective professional bodies. They are also subject to the enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) checks.
